Do you offer make-up classes?
We do not offer make-up classes for missed sessions.
Do you swim if it’s raining?
Yes — we swim rain or shine! Classes are only canceled in the event of thunder or lightning, and this decision is made pool-side at the time of the class, not in advance. If a class is canceled pool-side due to thunder or lightning, we will email you within 24 hours of your scheduled session with alternative class options to make up the missed lesson. Please note that refunds are not provided for weather-related cancellations.
Refund policy
Before your session starts: You may receive a 50% refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before your first session.
After this deadline or once your session has started: Refunds are no longer available and your spot will be forfeited. This ensures fairness, as spots are reserved well in advance and could have been offered to another child.
All cancellations must be made via email to info@MackSwimSchool.com.
Do you offer multiple classes per week?
Our standard 4–5 week sessions are once per week, but you are welcome to book multiple sessions to increase your child’s time in the water. For a fast-paced summer option, we also offer 10-day intensive sessions — 10 consecutive weekdays of lessons for focused learning and fun.
Can I book both my kids for the same timeslot?
Yes! We offer semi-private sessions for up to 3 siblings (same family only). Semi-private sessions are booked directly by email at info@MackSwimSchool.com. Please email us for availability and pricing.
Can I watch my child?
Absolutely! We highly encourage parents to watch from our comfortable pool-side seating. Alternatively, you are welcome to drop your child off and enjoy a short break, then pick them up at the end of the lesson.
What time should I arrive to my lesson?
Please arrive ready to swim 5 minutes prior to your class start time. Please be aware that there will be another swimmer in the pool when you arrive but you are welcome to wait pool-side until the start of your lesson.
Do you charge tax?
Tax is included in the price you see on our Book Now page!
There are no hidden fees in our program.
What certifications does Mackenzie (owner/swim instructor) have?
Mackenzie is a Certified Swim Instructor with Life Saving Society. She has her current CPR certification and is a Certified Life Guard for the Pool and the beach!
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We offer payment plans through Affirm at checkout.
Is the Pool Heated? (All Pool Information)
The pool is HEATED! It is a heated, salt water pool that has both shallow and deep ends. It has a ladder in the deep end and stairs in the shallow end. Perfect for swimming lessons! Pool is pictured below!
Do you have a washroom onsite?
Yes, we have a washroom onsite, but this is a private residence. We ask that parents and children use the facilities before arriving so your child is swim-ready when their session begins.
What equipment do I need?
Children should bring/wear:
Comfortable bathing suit
Swim goggles
Summer footwear (sandals or crocs; pavement can get hot)
Water bottle
Swim caps are optional
We provide all other necessary equipment.
Do you offer changing facilities?
We have a pool-side changing area that you are welcome to use after your child’s session. We require children to arrive fully ready to swim, and any time spent changing before entering the pool will come out of your lesson time.
Do you teach children with disabilities or autism?
Yes — Mackenzie has experience teaching children with Autism and other disabilities. Please email info@MackSwimSchool.com to discuss your child’s specific needs.
Do you use badges?
No, we do not use badges. Instead, we provide a progress report at the end of each 4–5 week or 10-day session to show how your child has improved. At Mack Swim School we focus on safety and comfort in the water and teach to the same standard as badge levelled courses.
Do you offer levelled swimming?
Each lesson is fully tailored to your child’s swim level and abilities. Classes are designed to progress at your child’s pace, helping them learn new skills and build confidence in the water.
Is there a discount for siblings or multiple bookings?
We do not offer traditional sibling or multiple booking discounts. However, you can book a semi-private session for up to 3 siblings (same family only). Please email us at info@MackSwimSchool.com for availability and pricing.
